wrote on the University: Broward College wall: In today’s society, many college students will receive their diploma and have an enormous debt. I am a first-generation college student and looking to have a bright future being a leader. I decided that if I want a degree, it will have to be a great return on investment (ROI). Mark Cuban once mentioned that we should attend the best state school you can because it will pay off for years to come. My fiancé is currently enrolled at the University of Florida Warrington College of the online business program, and his cousin graduated from the University of North Dakota. With their influence and guidance in my life, I have received Dean’s list last semester and currently, have an A in Accounting and Microeconomics. I was a biology major before switching to business; I graduated high school with 3.7 GPA, and I received Silver Knight (Science). I graduated with well over 1000+ community service hours. I was on an excellent path to success, and I was physically and mentally abused for the last three years of my life. These years lead to my downfall into depression. I spent excess time fighting to be untangled. I even slipped my senior year of high school. Maybe things would have happened differently, and I would be on track; I learned to cope with the decision to come forward to tell the authorities about my dad and my past abusive relationship as well with my ex-boyfriend. I take full acceptance of my actions for everything that went wrong. Through my ups and downs, I found a better path to success, in a major that I have passion and understanding. I want help clients financially to be a better person; we live in a world with growing expenses. If we can help educate the world to be more economically smart, it can make a better world to live in. In the past, I would spend two hours studying for one class and then jump to the different course while I was a Biology Major. In my business classes, I have put four to six hours a day in accounting, then three hours in economics and so forth. I have started to outline each chapter and make note cards to prepare me for exams. I am changing to spend more time on one subject before moving on to next in that way I do not jump around. I pace myself, I am eating healthier, and took myself away from the negativity in my life. I found a better group of friends to be around and have study sessions. I realized who you are as a person is who you spend time with every day. By having people in my life that attend school one hundred percent with a commitment the positive energy pushes me to stay on top of my work. I have changed because I see how many people are struggling in the world, and I have the opportunity to build a better future. I found what I love, and that is business. A business mindset can help the world innovate to a better tomorrow. We all make mistakes, and I have made my mistakes in the past. I said to myself, my study habits, eating right, health and other vital attributes will be my number one priority. I have seen the University of Florida’s online format, and I have completed classes online multiple times in the past. I enjoy having the flexibility to work on the go. Being in a classroom setting as a Biology major, was a significant failure. Doing business online has innovated the way I learn the material differently. My goal is not only to help those financially in the future but to gain experience with the top fortune 500 companies as a business analyst. The experience can help me open a foundation for struggling families around the world that need a helping hand a hobby of mind, and it is a dream. In conclusion, Chapter Leader will become the best return on investment I make towards my future career for myself and my family.
