My name is Sabrina Taylor, and my major career goal is to become a veterinary neurosurgeon. I want to do surgeries on the brains and spinal cords of dogs and cats. My current major is biology, and with this major, I plan to apply for vet school the summer of 2018. My interests include working with animals, working with people, and being involved with the community. My major hobby is martial arts. I have been practicing the art of Tang Soo Do since the age of 10, and I am 20 years old now. In 2016 at the university of Mississippi, I started my own club--"Rebel Tang Soo Do". It was the first club of it's nature and I was the president and founder. Through this club, I learned a lot about how to be a leader. When I was determining when to have karate practice, I contacted everyone in my club at the beginning of the semester and asked them to send me their schedules. With this, I was able to collaborate all the schedules to determine the best times to meet. I kept in touch with my club weekly and rescheduled one on one practices when they had busy weeks and couldn't attend. To me, being a leader is to be open-minded and optimistic. No matter how tall the mountain is, I know as long as I stay determined and confident in my abilities, I can conquer anything.
