Leadership Experience

Posted By Vishal Kumar Pallerla, Saturday, December 2, 2017
Hello Everyone, I am Vishal Pallerla pursuing my Masters in Computer Science at UH. Yeah Go Coogs !! I aspire to become an entrepreneur in future, has many ideas in mind and get new ideas daily but still gonna decide on which idea to pursue. I started my leadership in childhood when I played cricket. I used to play everyday with friends and I wished to captain everytime(only reason being I can chose when to bat and bowl haha :P). When I grew up, I understood how it feels to be like captain and how a leader should be. When yo are leading a team, you should focus on team's winning and not individuals feelings and need to take harsh decisions. I am not very good at taking harsh decisions in the beginning and used to compromise in some things in order to not hurt some one feelings and lose team's win. But rather realized that that's not the case. For me now, a leader is the one who can take decisions quickly and lead the team anyway and make others follow his decision. It is not easy to be leading a group of people with different mindsets. Remember that team members may hate you and sometimes they wish to be out of team, but as a leader you need to concentrate only on the greater good and not for individual benefits or personal benefits.
